What's an Aerochute
04. Mar 2009 at 19:10

Hi Caboolture, my name is Mike, I've been a member for nearly 2 years and have clocked up around 60 hours in that time Flying this type in our area. I've also done a bit of mustering with a lot of success. Most wouldn't see our type flying around YCAB because we mainly fly between 6 and 8am due to wind.
I have also had a fly with the Gyro guys and am currently taking lessons with Zane in the Technam.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hello, the forum seems to be a bit quiet so thought I would add my bit.

G'day Mike.
I have seen you zipping around the area in the early mornings.
Have fun learning to fly in 3979 with Zane, I know I did.

Sean.

Hey Cosmick

Welcome on board - awsome craft you got there - me think you are pretty gutsy to fly that thing - looks great fun though. How many fly at YCAB amd when do you normally fly?

Hi Sean, Peter,

Thanks for the welcome. The 3979-er is a good old girl, next lesson is Banking & Turns.
Peter there are 3 out of Caboolture and another couple at Watts Bridge with about 15 in the South East Corner. I fly weather permitting once or twice a week at 6 - 7am. Had a great fly this morning, great conditions. Took a mate up for 40 mins local.
Apart from the weather we are also limited by the Aero Club, they don't want us in the air when 'Conventional' Aircraft are operating.

Is there anyone who comes out west to fly . I live 607 km out on the Warrego Highway 45 km past Mitchell at Mungallala . If  anyone passes through here drop in to Roosta's Gallery . Come in whether its closed or open . Cheers Roosta .
